The Story
The owners came to us with a clear vision: a home that felt grounded in the landscape without competing with it. Their five-acre parcel in the Dundee Hills offered sweeping views of the Willamette Valley — the kind of site that demands restraint, not spectacle.
We designed the home around a central great room axis that frames the valley view from the moment you step through the front door. The open-concept kitchen and living space flows naturally into a covered outdoor living area, creating the indoor-outdoor connection that defines wine country living.
Every detail was guided by intention. The custom mudroom with built-in bench and storage handles the reality of rural life. The dedicated home office with built-in bookshelves gives the owner a quiet workspace separated from the main living areas. And the vaulted bonus room above the garage provides flexible space that can grow with the family.
